The best food ever. We passed thru Baton rouge and visited state capitol then ate here. Loved it, I wish I could stay here and try every dish on the menu.

We had dinner at Cecilia Creole Bistro during our stay in Lafayette and it turned out to be a wonderful evening. The restaurant offers a refined and contemporary take on Creole cuisine in a warm yet lively atmosphere. I started with the boudin balls, which were perfectly prepared and full of flavor, a great nod to Louisiana tradition. For the main course, I chose the jerk fried chicken, and it was outstanding. Crispy, well seasoned and beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of heat. The service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The lively evening atmosphere added energy without feeling overwhelming. Cecilia shows a more elegant side of Lafayette’s food scene while staying true to its roots. Highly recommended for a refined but vibrant dinner in downtown Lafayette.

This was recommended and is a perfect gem! Interesting cocktails. Ordered the specials pork belly over a slight pickled coleslaw then had speckled trout over asparagus and grits covered with crawfish ettouffe! Definitely an awesome find. Service was amazing!

Heading home from New Orleans, and decided to stop by to see the Old Capitol Building. Cecelia was close, so we popped in for a bite. Wow! What a happy accident! Small, intimate space that was both informal and upscale. The hostess greeted us immediately, and we sat at a table for two. Evan was our server, and explained the specials as well as answered our questions about the menu. My husband ordered the redfish (which was served over grits with collard greens and smothered in crawfish étouffée), and I ordered the shrimp and grits (with a delicious butter BBQ sauce, and served with a pistolette). Both dishes were amazing, and we cleaned our plates! Between the excellent service and the outstanding food, we have decided to make sure and stop by Baton Rouge again on our next road trip just to eat at Cecelia’s!

Jerk chicken and red beans and rice is a wild combo, but I left no scraps and I would happily order it again. I was at a nearby coffee spot that was out of beignets, and it was early supper time so I took a gander at what was in the area and this was the only restaurant open. There was one server that was friendly and the place is just cozy, overall. The pricing was super reasonable, wait time was great and the chosen entree didn't clash at all flavor wise. I can't wait to go back.

Cecelia Creole Bistro has got to be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. This place is every bit of the 5-stars. The atmosphere is casual. The service is through-and-through. The food will have you sitting there with a clean plate-like my goodness, that was amazing! If you are in downtown Baton Rouge, this restaurant needs to be on your go-to list!

Cecelia Creole Bistro 421 N 3rd St Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 IG: Tonylameats Restaurant Week at Cecilia Creole Bistro did NOT disappoint! Everything was flawless! From the creamy crab & brie soup and deviled eggs with tasso jam to crispy duck rangoon, tender smoked beef cheeks (my personal favorite), and that mahi mahi étouffée-style risotto! And don’t sleep on dessert; every bite was a win! #TonyLaMeats #RestaurantWeekBR #BatonRougeEats #FoodieFinds #CreoleCuisine

An adorable small restaurant in the heart of downtown. We came in on a whim and didn’t have a reservation, but the very friendly staff were able to get us a table with no wait. The inside is adorable, romantic and quaint. Everything we ordered was excellent! The cornbread appetizer was a 10/10, the gumbo was unique and genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had, the Mahi Mahi special was perfectly cooked and paired with perfect sides, and the Cajun fish was incredible. This is our new go-to restaurant when we’re in town!

My last meal in Baton Rouge was at Cecelia's Creole Bistro. I wanted to get a taste of some authentic dishes and it was a spot I would revisit. I ordered the cornbread skillet, I loved the cinnamon butter but skipped the syrup because I thought it would be too sweet for me. The cornbread was not over sweetened and I only wish it has some whole. corn kernels in it as well. I ordered both the Gumbo and a special seafood chowder. The Gumbo didn't catch my taste buds as much as the special did. My main course had a lot to offer in one dish including blackened reddish which had a nice texture and flavor, collard Greens and crayfish etouffee as a topper. Overall I was pleased with the dish but think they could have added less etoufee and it would have been fine. Completely full, I passed on dessert. The interior was simply appointed with nice natural light. Although busy I thought they were slow to bus the tables but I did like seeing the all hands on deck nature of the servers.
